Dr. Jeni McCutcheon is a licensed psychologist in Arizona and Washington and holds board certification in Police & Public Safety Psychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology, where she also serves as the National Chair of Examinations and President-Elect. She maintains an independent psychology practice since 2001 and her primary practice focus is police and public safety populations in Arizona. She provides assessment, intervention and consultation services. She has personally conducted over 25,000 public safety evaluations and has supervised well over 10,000 evaluations conducted by those she has supervised.

She is a past graduate-level ethics instructor for Northern Arizona University. She has worked in governmental agencies, including as an in-house Commander of a Behavioral Health Services Unit in a large law enforcement agency, as well as at Indian Health Services, Veterans Affairs Medical Centers, and the Arizona State Hospital. She has presented at national conferences in the areas of police and public safety psychology and ethical issues. She is published in these same areas of expertise with three book chapters about ethics in police and public safety populations and several Police Chief Magazine articles, including articles about responding to calls with suicidal suspects and assessing bias and intolerance in police and public safety personnel. She is a past chair and ongoing member of the Arizona Psychological Association’s Ethics Consultation Committee. She is a past chair of the International Association of Chiefs of Police, Police Psychological Services Section.
